Albania coach Sylvinho feels that Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani is an example of the quality that his team possesses.

Speaking to Albanian media, via FCInterNews, the coach identified the 21-year-old Nerazzurri man as one of the players who has brought the level of the Albanian national team up recently.

The Albanian national team got a very significant result yesterday evening by beating Poland in a EURO 2024 qualifier.

This puts the Eagles up to top of their qualifying group, albeit with Czechia having a game in hand.

The likes of Sassuolo’s Nedim Bajrami and Lecce’s Ylber Ramadani are among the Albanian players currently playing in Serie A.

And midfielder Asllani is right at the heart of the team.

The 21-year-old former Empoli man is now entering his second season at Inter. He joined the Nerazzurri last summer.

It has not always been easy for Asllani to get playing time at Inter.

A lot of this has been down to the presence of players like Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcelo Brozovic in his position.

However, the Albanian has worked his way into his national side. And he could well be helping them to a place at the Euros in less than twelve months’ time.

“But today everyone played very well,” he continued.

“Maybe we didn’t have much possession of the ball,” the coach observed. “But we have top-quality players like Muci, Asani, Bajrami, Kristjan Asllani, who can give us a lot.:
