Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries is no longer on the market. On the contrary, the club is reportedly looking to renew his contract.
The Italian giants bought the 27-year-old from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2021. He arrived at the club to replace Achraf Hakimi who completed a big-money transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
In the past couple of years, a section of fans and observers have been criticizing the Dutchman’s displays.
Nevertheless, the wingback has started this season on the right path. He has already contributed with a couple of goals and three assists in eight appearances across all competitions.
Despite the arrival of the vastly experienced Juan Cuadrado, Dumfries has been able to maintain his starting berth on the right flank of Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 formation.
According to FcInterNews, the management is now looking to kickstart negotiations with the player’s new agency (Wasserman Group) at the end of the month.
