Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco is pleased to be extending his time at Inter Milan with a new contract until the end of June 2027.

The 26-year-old spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after putting pen to paper on his new deal.

Now it’s official. Dimarco has committed his future to Inter with a new contract.

The Italian international’s new deal hardly comes as a surprise.

Dimarco and his representatives have been in talks with Inter for a number of weeks according to reports.

And for both parties, a new deal for the wingback makes sense.

From Inter’s perspective, Dimarco has become a key pillar of the starting eleven. Particularly since the departure of Ivan Perisic, the 26-year-old has made the left-wingback role his own.

And for the player himself, staying at Inter means wearing the shirt that he has supported since childhood.

Dimarco is an Inter youth academy graduate.

Federico Dimarco Pleased To Extend Contract At “Club Of My Heart” Inter

“I’m really happy to be extending with the club of my heart,” Dimarco said.

“I’m happy because it’s an extension that I pushed for, and that the club also pushed for.”

The 26-year-old said that “I’m happy with my own accomplishments. But the team’s objectives are more important.”

“I’m happy with what the team is achieving,” he continued. “Let’s hope that we can keep it up.”

As far as his role in welcoming new signings like Marcus Thuram, Dimarco said that “It’s a role that I’ve always tried to have in all the teams I’ve played for.”

“I’m happy to have welcomed Marcus,” he continued.

“It’s true that I was the first to write to him. I’ve actually been waiting for him for two years, because I already knew him from playing with our national youth teams.”

Of his relationship with the fans, Dimarco said that “There have already been a lot of beautiful moments that we’ve spent together.”

“If I have to mention one, I’s definitely say the Coppa Italia final we won against Juventus. Singing together with them after.”

“And now I guess they’ll have to keep putting up with me for a few more years!” Dimarco laughed.
