Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has managed to set a record in terms of goal contributions in the first half of the season in Serie A.

The 26-year-old joined the Nerazzurri last summer on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach and rapidly established himself as a pillar at the club.

The Frenchman has formed a superb striking partnership with club captain Lautaro Martinez.

But while the Argentine has been flying off the charts in the Capocannoniere race, Thruam has also registered an impressive record.

As FcInterNews highlights, the France international is the only player in Serie A to reach five in terms of both goals and assists.

The Sochaux youth product has started all 19 league fixtures in the first half of the season. He has managed to score seven goals thus far.

The French star also contributed with nine assists (when recognizing the spot kicks that he won as direct goal contributions).

Thuram has also made six appearances in the Champions League, three as a starter. He scored a single goal in Europe this term and provided an assist.

While his goal contribution has slightly dropped in recent weeks, the striker will be looking to kickstart the second half of the season with a solid display against Monza.

The Nerazzurri will take on their Lombardian neighbors at the U-Power Stadium on Saturday night.

Sources expect Simone Inzaghi to unleash his strongest lineup tomorrow, including the deadly partnership of Thuram and Lautaro.
