Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez could finally ink his much-anticipated new contract in the next few days.

The Argentine is already tied to the Serie A giants with a contract valid till 2026. However, the two parties have been working on a renewal that pushes the deadline further back.

The 26-year-old should sign a new contract running until the summer of 2028. This would raise his salary to 8 million euros per season as net wages.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, the two parties could finally close the agreement and sign the new deal at some point around the big clash against Juventus.
