Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck is on the cusp of signing a new contract that will double his salary.

As reported yesterday, the two parties have found a total agreement over the new deal. So at this point, only the signatures are missing.

However, this could change in the next few hours.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInter1908, the Nerazzurri will announce the extension either on Friday or Saturday.

This new deal will be a reward for the player who arrived as a relative unknown last season. The Italian champions scouted him while he was plying his trade at Aarhus in the Danish top flight.

Inter splashed 7.2 million euros to secure his services. However, this figure now seems to be a bargain considering the defender’s current market value.

As the source explains, Bisseck is worth no less than 30 million euros in the current market. Moreover, Inter rejected West Ham’s offer of 25 million last summer.

Bisseck initially started as a mere backup for Benjamin Pavard in the right centre-back role. However, after managing to impress in his outings, Simone Inzaghi has been increasing his playing time.

Yann Bisseck To Sign New Inter Milan Contract Between Today & Tomorrow

This season, the Germany U21 star has been covering on both the right and the left side of the three-man defense.

Moreover, Bisseck also boasts the highest percentage of successful duels among U23 defenders across Europe.

Therefore, Inter will be offering him a more appropriate salary for his credentials.

Bisseck’s current salary is circa 750,000 euros per year. After penning a new deal, he will be collecting 1.5 million per season in addition to bonuses.

Furthermore, the new contract will push back the deadline from June 2028 to the summer of 2029.
