A nagging injury to Carlos Augusto creates further problems for Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi ahead of Saturday’s Serie A match against Genoa.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the Brazilian’s fitness makes squad rotation difficult.
At the moment, Inter wingback Carlos Augusto is dealing with a calf bruise.
The Brazilian is training separately. There is a sense that the injury is not a serious one, but it is a lingering problem that could prevent him from playing this weekend.

Carlos Augusto Injury Creates Headache For Inzaghi Ahead Of Inter Vs Genoa Clash
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will have been hoping to rotate his squad against Genoa.
This Saturday’s match is Inter’s last before the potential title-decider against Napoli at the start of March.

Defender Alessandro Bastoni is one booking away from suspension. Therefore, Inzaghi would hardly want to risk the 25-year-old.
And Federico Dimarco could also potentially use a rest.
In the case of Bastoni, in particularly, Augusto is the main backup for the Italian international.
However, Inzaghi may have little choice but to start Bastoni if Augusto can’t deputize.
