Simone Inzaghi wants guarantees in the transfer market before he agrees to a contract extension with Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the 49-year-old wants assurances of experience in the squad,
Inter Milan are working to extend the contract of coach Simone Inzaghi.
The Nerazzurri certainly have no doubts about wanting to continue on with the coach who has guided them to two Champions League finals already.
And for his part, Inzaghi wants to stay. He certainly feels that there is more to achieve with the Nerazzurri.
Money is not the issue for Inzaghi. Inter will reportedly offer him a wage increase to €7 million net per season with significant add-ons – and this should be sufficient.
Inzaghi will reject a much larger offer from Al-Hilal. He wants to continue his project at inter.
Inzaghi Wants Transfer Market Guarantees At Inter Milan

However, there is one key demand that Inzaghi will make if he is to remain the coach of Inter Milan.
Tuttosport report that the former Lazio coach wants clear assurances regarding the transfer market.
Inzaghi wants to make sure there is a squad strong enough to keep fighting for trophies if he is to sign a new deal.
Specifically, Tuttosport reports, the coach wants guarantees from Inter owners Oaktree Capital about the age of the squad.
Of course, Inter want to lower the average age of the squad. It is the highest in Serie A by some distance, and that is hardly sustainable.
Therefore, Inter will prioritize reinvigorating the squad with younger players this summer.
However, at the same time, Inzaghi has never hidden the fact that he likes having experienced players around.
Veterans like Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Edin Dzeko among others have shone under the Inter coach.
Therefore, Inzaghi wants to be certain that Inter won’t exclusively sign young players and then expect him to improve them. He wants to ensure there is still experience in the team.
I agree with Inzaghi. Management is ambitious to win all the titles but doesn’t want to spend money, this doesn’t make sense.
Inter should respect his demands and do accordingly. the team needs younger players with mixture of experiences, investments of funds matters a lot, when you don’t spend, you can’t get the desired results.
Inter needs some high profiled and proven players in the team
give him whatever he wants! he has brought the team much glory and given us an identity!! something we did not have since Mourinho left. and more importantly he has made watching inter play fun again.
I agree with Inzaghi.Inter should definitely sign younger players, but that should be for the under 23 team and develop there instead.
“Inzaghi wants to be certain that Inter won’t exclusively sign young players and then expect him to improve them”
This is the point. You can’t go to the UCL finals twice and the only buy unproven talents. Established high quality players too are needed.
