Alfredo Pedulla reports that Inter Milan are put off by the wage demands of striker Jonathan David this summer.
He reports on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908.
Jonathan David still has not decided on where he will be playing next season.
The 25-year-old striker can negotiate with any club he wants. His contract with Lille runs out at the end of this month.
There has been no shortage of interest in the Canadian. He looks to be one of the big free transfer opportunities of the summer.
The likes of Inter Milan, Napoli, and Juventus have all shown a strong interest in David’s signature.
Pedulla – Inter Milan Put Off By Jonathan David Wage Demands

Despite the fact that Jonathan David won’t command a transfer fee, that certainly doesn’t mean that there wouldn’t be any cost to his signing.
There would be the matter of the high wage demands from the Canadian international.
Furthermore, David is also reportedly asking for significant commissions and sign-on bonus.
According to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, David and his representatives asked Inter for a sign-on bonus of €10 million.
Furthermore, the striker’s wage demands are for €7 million net per season. And that is too high for Inter.
We should go for Folarin Bolagun. If we cant pursue him to join us then go for Alejo Veliz.
seems that we are wary of everything that can bring quality to our squad…
simply because we don’t have money. this team has been in this situation for years, so are you serious talking like that?
If we lose David to Juve or Napoli we honestly deserve to finish 2nd or 3rd next season.
I don’t understand our board, u are buying anonymus Bonny for 25+wages, and u can’t give 10-15mil as signing bonus, no transfer fees and 7 mil wage. Set his release clause at 60-70 mil, u can sell him next summer immediately
belive me, marotta will do it if the process is that easy. This kind of transfer is his speciality, thetr is massive problem in this process if he didnt do it yet.
you just want inter to sigh anyone. you should have learn from corea and teremi and so on. remember seria is a very hard league to play some of this players might not even fit to play in seria bro you should trust in morota ability
they have a wage structure . thats why
if jonathan david would have a similar debut season as Thuram, some fans groan and moan and call inter a selling club if we sell immediately.
If jonathan david turns out to be a flop, we could move him to other clubs through loan and still have sufficient wage space for other players.
for comparison, i believed thuram and dimarco is on a gross wage of 7m. their net wages would be 30-40% lower?
Arnautovic and Correa had net 3.5m wage, Taremi 3m, that’s 10m. I don’t think Bonny will have more than 2m, so there is 8m difference. And they keep saying he is too expensive. Henrikh 3.8m, Darmian 2.5m, Zielinski 4.5m.. U get rid of old timers, buy younger players who will earn less, or even promote Carboni, Stankovic into first team
you clearly dont understand business, how you will give 10mlns wage to a newcommer, while your stars earns less money??? is this guy better than Toro ? Barella? Bastoni? you can give such wage if you are taking big market player who will generate alot of merchandise sales like Ronaldo 25years ago, but you cant do it for Mr. Nobody coming from a weak french league ! if he was a star all PL teams would be after him ! all the stars in the team will be wanting more money or they will request to leave!
Thuram got 6m, ain’t he a new signing. David can also get wage in range 6-7m. Beside he has better statistics than Thuram before he came, he is consistently one of the best strikers in league, and winner of that weak french league obliterated us in finals. As for Bastoni’s wage he will get new contract by winter, or towards end of season since we can’t allow his contract to expire in 2 years by the of the season, if we don’t want similar situation to happen as with Skriniar
Beside the only way we can sign a striker who is worth 50m is if we sign him as free transfer. If he went to Napoli, as they are also interested, there will be almost no chance that we can win title next season, as it seems they will bring players with more quality than us
If that is the case why is no one going for this guy? I dont think 7mil wage is worth a player who will be playing as a sub behind Lautaro and Thuram.
Ffs use money u earned somewhere. We need striker who is killer in front of goal this season. Both Lautaro and Thuram have low periods in season, and i don’t expect much from Bonny (think he will be on same level as our reservists from last season). I was for it if Pio stayed as 4th striker, he would get chance to play, but now i don’t think either will have 20 g+a in season and we need someone who will guarantee that
david play a long ball strat to get high wages. no wonder he still didnt get a club. he ask too much, eveb corea already have a. club.
