Lazio have reportedly turned down the first offer from Inter Milan for Italian international midfielder Nicolo Rovella.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri offered €35 million plus midfielder Kristjan Asllani.
Inter Milan are eyeing up a move for Lazio midfielder Nicolo Rovella.
The 23-year-old is a player who the Nerazzurri see as an ideal replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu.
It is still uncertain whether Calhanoglu will stay or go. However, the strong interest from Galatasaray means that the Nerazzurri are bracing themselves for the possibility of having to replace him.
And Rovella is a player who would offer a strong like-for-like replacement. Therefore, he would be the priority target in the event that Calhanoglu departs.

Convincing Lazio to part ways with Nicolo Rovella will not be easy, however.
The Italian international has a release clause in his contract worth around €50 million. And so far, the Biancocelesti have shown no sign of wavering in expecting that full amount.
Inter, for their part, have put a bid of €35 million on the table, reports SportMediaset.
And in addition, the broadcaster report, the Nerazzurri have also included Kristjan Asllani in the offer.
The Albanian would be offered on loan, with a purchase option that could become an obligation under certain conditions.
According to SportMediaset, however, Lazio have rejected this bid. They still only want the release clause for Rovella.
I know Asllani is not that great, but for the 3 group stages game among all the 32 teams, Barella is the top 1 for the creating scoring opportunities by 11 times, and Asllani is the only other Inter player in top 10 by 7 times. He didnt play that bad like the way a lot of fans criticized.
Thats right. And to trade him in and add 35 for rovella ???? That dude cost 30 and gets too many things wrong. Just look at his yellow card numbers. I say 30 max and he needs to prove he is a starter at Inter. This news are crazy. Thats why they call it the silly season

Don’t believe everything you read… We got Sucic, so we have plus one midfielder from last year and noone seems to be leaving except Calha MAYBE… So i think even if he leaves, noone will come because of Sucic. Have a good day 🙂
Asllani and Hakan might go. Zielinski has injury or fitness issues every now and then. A new midfielder is not to be ruled out, and we really need one who is strong defensively and offers a lot of energy and movement. With the problems our midfield had last season, only Sucic is not enough of a change.

I think we need a new defender first. Pavard is injury prone with Acerbi, Darmain and De vjri slow and old. Since Inter is trying to sell Bisseck we need a new defender quick with maybe another one from Primavera. I think Koni De Winter would be a great option in the middle and we should keep De Vjri, while the others are sold.

I like Rovella, but I wouldn’t pay €50million for him, and I certainly don’t think Oaktree would either!! I was under the impression that Chivu wanted a midfield destroyer, but if we were going for a deep lying playmaker, Bernabe would be half the price….

Why waste all that money on this player when they are far better midfielders out there? We need a very physical holding midfielder than a stylish one. A physical holding midfielders will allow all our midfielders to play more offensively and play a high pressing soccer.
