Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign Barcelona keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen this summer.
This according to Spanish outlet Sport, via FCInter1908. They report that the Blaugranas could allow the German to leave for free to save on his wages.
The situation of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has emerged as a big question mark at Barcelona.
The 33-year-old had spent the bulk of last season out with a knee injury. However, he was able to return towards the end of the campaign.
However, Barcelona have made a major goalkeeping signing this summer. They’ve brought in Joan Garcia from city rivals Espanyol.
The sense is that Garcia will be the first-choice starter in goal next season. Meanwhile, veteran former Juventus and Arsenal keeper Wojcech Szczesny is still at the club.
Inter Join The Race For Barcelona Keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen

According to Sport, Barcelona want to offload Ter Stegen this summer.
Having decided on Garcia to be the first-choice starter between the posts, there is little place for the former Borussia Monchengladbach keeper at the Camp Nou.
Furthermore, reports Sport, Barcelona could even allow Ter Stegen to leave for nothing. This would allow them to save on his wages – he is one of the highest earners in the squad over the remaining three years of his contract.
A few clubs have sounded out a move for Ter Stegen. These have included Monaco and Galatasaray.
To date, Ter Stegen has not opened up to any offers. The German feels that these moves would constitute a step down for him.
However, Sport anticipate, Inter have also joined the race to sign Ter Stegen. And they would be a bigger name than those clubs who have already shown an interest, and a chance to fight for trophies.
Therefore, reports Sport, Ter Stegen could be more open to joining Inter.
The Nerazzurri could lose Yann Sommer this summer. Reportedly, the 36-year-old is a target for Galatasaray.
I don’t rrally want him i want josep Martinez as our 1 and sommer should be our 2nd choice
Wouldn’t mind at all if we bring him, give him contract 2+1 and sell Sommer + Hakan to Galatasaray for 35mil. This is a world class goalkeeper
I’ll say it again… Josep Martinez has been nothing but superb whenever he’s played, and deserves a chance to be Number 1!! What’s he supposed to do- wait until he’s 33 to get a chance???
i dont think were seeing the same josep martinez
Clearly not…. what exactly did he do wrong, aside from get plenty of clean sheets, command his area and claim crosses, and make brilliant saves?
3-0 vs ac milan
And how was that his fault? Honestly, some people on here are ridiculous! The team was completely outplayed from start to finish! What exactly was Martinez meant to do? So by your logic, was the Champions league final purely down to Sommer?
I’ve said it before, Martinez is ok gk for mid-table team, maybe for team which will compete for Conference or Europe league, but currently he’s not even among top 5 goalkeepers in Italy. We need world-class goalkeepers considering how we play right now. From our league the only gk i would buy to be nr. 1 is Svilar (maybe Carneseecchi, but probably too expensive)
I agree josep martienz is class when he played his performance against lazio and napoli were extraordinary
loan him ! barsa cant sell him because he wants all his salaries and barsa cant terminate his contract because of that too, so loan him for 1 season
stergen Lol
another option pls, can we try Trubin from Benfica
