Alfredo Pedulla believes that signing both Manu Kone and Ademola Lookman would be “impossible” for Inter Milan to afford without sales.
Pedulla reported, via FCInter1908, that deals for the two players would cost around €100 million in total.
Manu Kone has emerged as a surprise transfer opportunity for Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri reportedly see the France international as an ideal profile for the holding midfield position.
Inter have no shortage of midfielders who can play in a more advanced role.
However, midfielders like Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu are not as well-suited to playing in a double pivot.
Meanwhile, Inter are also still in the hunt for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. They have been trying to sign the Nigerian for weeks, and have had a couple offers rejected already.
Pedulla: “Impossible For Inter To Afford Kone & Lookman Without Sales”

Alfredo Pedulla reported that “I’m not aware of any direct contacts for Kone.”
“But there’s a frenzy among agents looking for opportunities,” he continues. “And clearly Inter would be a great opportunity for Kone.”
“Then, Roma value him at €50 million,” Pedulla reported. “Including add-ons.”
“We’ll see if they hold to that, and whether Inter abandon the possibility of signing Lookman.”
Pedulla then commented that “I’m keeping the ‘if’ in front of it because it would be a dramatic change in strategy.”
“Particularly given the wait for the player. And the €3-4 million difference between their offer and Atalanta’s asking price.”
“Signing both would take €100 million,” Pedulla reported. “Which would be difficult without major sales.”
Oaktree is too frugal. We aren’t gonna win shit like this.
Inter made over 300m last season. The reason inter won’t spend a 100m in the market is the reason inter lost 2 champions league final in the last 3 years and it’s the same reason inter hasn’t won the champions league since 2010. Their management care about money they don’t give a damn whether they won or not. Simone Inzhagi is the reason Inter was a power house in Europe with a team which had good players. Marrotta u should be shamed for trying to please your american masters by making them money for them instead of thinking about making inter stronger
Don’t get me wrong, I do not expect us to pull off both signings, but the money should be there, as it should have been to sign Leoni!! We made nearly €200 million in prize money last season, Sucic was wrapped up in January, and there’s no way we’ve paid the full amounts in one go for either Bonny or Henrique!! So where’s all the cash gone??? We were constantly told about the Summer revolution, and basically been completely shafted as fans….
we repaid a bond with half that money…
No we didn’t use the money to repay it. We took another bond out albeit at lower value and interest rate. As far as I remember we have injected €50M of our own money.
I hope this means Hakan and Thuram to Saudi for 100mln total package 😀
Honestly with Thurams form over the last 6 months I would not be against that. I don’t think its his form but more of his attitude thats the problem. He puts no effort.
Agreed, it’s almost like he believed his own hype from the start of the season he had
At least Lautaro got some form back and carried us again like always, at least we have some actual competition for Thuram now, hopefully that will kick him up the butt
