Carlos Augusto has reportedly emerged as the top candidate to replace Denzel Dumfries in Sunday’s Serie A clash between Inter and AC Milan.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Dutch wingback is at risk of missing the upcoming Milan derby due to injury.

Denzel Dumfries suffered an ankle problem while on international duty with the Netherlands.

Therefore, Ronald Koeman allowed him to return to San Siro halfway through the international break.

However, the 29-year-old may not be able to recover in time.
