Inter Milan wingback Franco Carboni could soon join Serie B underachievers Sampdoria on loan for the rest of the season.

According to SampNews24 via FCInterNews, talks between the clubs are ongoing, with the announcement expected soon.

Franco Carboni joined Empoli on a season-long loan in the summer after being ruled out of Inter’s plans for the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite making 16 league appearances at Stadio Carlo Castellani, the Argentine ace could soon leave Tuscany.

With Empoli ready to let Carboi return to San Siro, Inter must find a new club for the 22-year-old soon.

Though a permanent sale is not on the cards, the Nerazzurri are keen to loan the youngster out to gain experience.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria are ready to offer Carboni an escape route from Milan and, more importantly, regular first-team football.

Angelo Gregucci’s men are fighting their battles on the wrong end of the Serie B table and need every help they can get to secure survival.

Therefore, they’ve accelerated talks with Inter, hoping to close the deal as soon as possible.
