Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan have reportedly lodged a formal bid for highly rated Dinamo Zagreb teenager Leon Jakirovic.

According to Croatian outlet Germanijak via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have tabled an official offer in the region of €5 million, including add-ons.

Leon Jakirovic has emerged as a concrete target for the San Siro club.

At 17, the Croatian starlet boasts huge potential and could be a massive investment for the future.

However, for the moment, he is expected to join Stefano Vecchi’s U23 team.

Aware of growing foreign interest in Jakirovic, Inter have decided to accelerate talks with Dinamo Zagreb.

Indeed, RB Salzburg and Stuttgart have also taken interest in the talented center-back.

However, Cristian Chivu’s men are now on the verge of signing the player, who has only sporadically featured for the Blues this season.

In the meantime, Inter may soon announce another signing.

Hajduk Split youngster Branimir Mlacic is one step away from swapping Poljud for San Siro, with the Nerazzurri set to pay €5 million for his signature.
