Inter Milan are making progress on Leon Jakirovic and Branimir Mlacic as relief grows over two key Croatian deals.

While Ivan Perisic remains a possible senior addition, the club are now moving decisively on youth targets.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Inter have built a clear long-term plan around Jakirovic. The defender arrived in Milan on Wednesday and will complete his medical tests today.

He will then head to CONI around midday to obtain the required sporting clearance. After that, Jakirovic will begin work under Stefano Vecchi with Inter’s Under-23 side.

The club see the move as a gradual pathway. Jakirovic will use Serie C next season as a bridge toward senior football.

Inter plan to assess him closely with the first team in mind. Internally, there is strong belief that he can step up quickly.

These are also decisive days for Mlacic. Inter already reached an agreement with Hajduk Split some time ago. Talks slowed following a change in representation, but the situation has now reopened.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter have resumed contact with the new agent of the starlet, Fali Ramadani.

A meeting is scheduled to understand whether the deal can finally reach completion. Inter want clarity as soon as possible.

With Jakirovic’s arrival on track and negotiations active again for Mlacic, Inter’s Croatian project is gathering momentum at an important stage of planning.
