Inter Milan have reportedly made surprise contact with Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel as they continue to plan for a potential reshuffle in goal ahead of next season.
The revelation comes from former Lazio and Italy goalkeeper Fernando Orsi, who shared an anecdote about Inter’s transfer activity while speaking on Sky Sport.
According to Orsi, the Nerazzurri have already sounded out the Lazio shot-stopper in view of a possible summer move.
“I read that Provedel had contact with Inter for next season,” Orsi explained, via FCInter1908.
“I read it… He’s a well-built goalkeeper. Maybe, up to now, he’s had a career that hasn’t fully reflected his qualities.”

Provedel has established himself as a key figure at Lazio over the past two seasons, earning Italy recognition thanks to his consistency and command of the area.
Inter’s interest would fit into broader planning at the position, with Yann Sommer’s future beyond the current campaign still uncertain.
At 30, Provedel represents an experienced domestic option who knows Serie A well and would not require a long adaptation period.
For now, there is no negotiation underway and no indication that Lazio have received a formal approach.
However, Orsi’s comments confirm that preliminary contact has taken place, placing Provedel among the names on Inter’s radar.
As the summer window approaches, Inter’s goalkeeping plans remain fluid. Provedel’s name adds another intriguing layer to a shortlist that continues to evolve behind the scenes.

I think we should grab Saibari from PSV Eindhoven for a replacement for either Mikytarian, or to have to add to our central midfield ranks. Even before this AFCON Final he had, against Senegal who won the match in Style in the last few wks. I do think he could compete with Barella for Regista if we needed him to I believe. He’s the top ranked PSV Men’s Player currently, and he’s 3rd in stats on Morocco’s Men’s Squad which is something to be proud of as well currently. Especially given Morocco hadn’t given up even 1 point in the previous 10months before Senegal defeated them in the most recent AFCON Men’s Final. He has good attacking mentality, and he’s technically good with the ball as well as having the ability to beat players one on one. His vision is really good, and he has good positional awareness too. He’s a really great ball passer, and basically all of PSV’s offense flows or goes through Saibari, so it goes without saying he understands how to control a game tactically as well. He can score goals as well as pass off the assists to contribute. His attitude and playing style means he checks back to help defend in front of the defenders, and checks beck to get ball possession started, before either dribbling forward, or passing or shooting himself. He has a decent shooting ability, and he will certainly improve in this area given his young age. I also believe playing on Inter would be a rise in Player quality, given he’d play in the Serie A instead of Eredivisie.
I think this is the perfect time in his development to sign Saibari, especially given the fact of recent AFCON Morocco Men’s performance through the tournament should mean that his value should be on a steady upward trajectory. Although he’s young he seems to bring a calming, steadying presence to PSV definitely because they’re clearly better when he’s on the field playing.
I really do feel he’s worth the price, and I think he could be 1 player who could actually play all 3 different center midfield roles. I think he has the skillset to play either Mikytarian’s, Chanogulu’s, or Barella’s positions if it were necessary. I’m sure he will do well in whosever’s twam he signs with. I just hoped that with our record of being in The UEFA Champion’s League Final 2 out of the 3 last times, that we’d have the reputation to attract him to play for Inter this summer I think he’d be the kind of player Bepe and J. Zanetti would appreciate and like.
