The Italian Interior Ministry imposed a travel ban on Inter Milan fans until March 23 earlier today, following a bizarre incident in Cremona.
According to Reuters, the Nerazzurri supporters will not be able to follow their team in the upcoming Serie A clash against Sassuolo.
Inter will take on the Neroverdi on Sunday, looking to extend their four-game winning league streak after a 2-0 triumph at Cremonese.
However, Cristian Chivu and his players will be there on their own after Sunday’s scandal at Stadio Giovanni Zini.
Inter Milan Fans Receive Three-Game Travel Ban

A 40-year-old fan hurled a flare onto the pitch, only a couple of meters away from Cremonese goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Luckily for the 29-year-old, he avoided injury, but Inter couldn’t escape the punishment.
In addition to being fined €50,000, the Nerazzurri will play their next three away league matches without traveling fans.
Therefore, after facing Sassuolo, Chivu’s side will also take on Lecce and Fiorentina with no support from the stands.
On the positive note, the ban doesn’t include the upcoming Derby della Madonnina at San Siro.
