Inter Milan veteran Matteo Darmian will reportedly make his first domestic start under Cristian Chivu in tonight’s clash against Torino.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 36-year-old looks set to make his first competitive start since the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Matteo Darmian has been a faithful servant since joining the club from Parma in 2020.

However, the Italian defender has entered the final six months of his contract and will leave San Siro at the end of the season.

Darmian has spent most of the season on the sidelines with a nasty calf injury.

Indeed, he injured himself during Inter’s home win over Slavia Prague in September.

Furthermore, he had only made two cameo appearances at the beginning of the campaign.

However, the versatile defender has regained full fitness, entering Sunday’s match at Cremonese as a late substitute.

Meanwhile, Cristian Chivu is ready to hand him his first start of the season in tonight’s Coppa Italia quarter-final tie against Torino.
