Inter Milan may have discovered an in-house solution to their wing-back depth issues after an eye-catching debut from Issiaka Kamate in the Coppa Italia.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport notes, necessity has sharpened the Nerazzurri’s creativity.
With injuries and a January market described by coach Cristian Chivu as chaotic but ultimately fruitless, Inter have been forced to look internally rather than externally for reinforcements.
Kamate, a versatile left-footed talent from the club’s Under-23 side previously coached by Stefano Vecchi, saw his status change overnight with his senior debut against Torino.
With Matteo Darmian unavailable and Denzel Dumfries still working his way back, Chivu handed the 21-year-old a chance, and he delivered.
Kamate Impresses Chivu At Inter

Kamate showed flashes of pace, flair and unpredictability, capped by a right-footed assist for fellow youngster Ange-Yoan Bonny.
It was the kind of bold, inventive contribution Inter have often lacked when rotating their flanks.
The Frenchman knows Chivu’s methods well, having worked under him for two years at youth level.
Initially used as a central midfielder, Kamate was later reinvented as a right winger in a 4-3-3 system.
His sharp left foot, dribbling ability and imagination quickly flourished, producing 12 goals in 30 appearances at Primavera level.
There are still areas to refine, particularly consistency.
However, his ability to create something out of nothing, even with his weaker foot, was evident in his senior bow.
With Inter still waiting for Dumfries’ full return.
Kamate’s emergence gives Chivu genuine food for thought and could spare the club a scramble in the market.
The Nerazzurri may just have found another dynamic wide option right under their noses.

He was very good. More young players should be given a chance.
It’s crazy that we raise players only for other teams and never for our team.
433 is what we need
After being familiar with 352 for so long, it would be very risky to force a drastic change to 433 and remember that currently the Inter squad does not support using the 433 formation. Maybe Chivu can experiment if the team is already in the lead in the last 15 minutes, maybe 433 can be tried.
4-2-3-1
4-3-3
4-2-3-1
no thanks.
then we don’t have to financially compete with all the other teams using that formation that have wayyyyyy more money than use.
3-5-2 requires players that richer clubs look over and that suits INTER.
