Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu has decided to start Nicolo Barella following his return from injury, while captain Lautaro Martinez will partner Marcus Thuram in attack against Juventus and Hakan Calhanoglu will return to the bench.
The match kicks off at 19:45 GMT (20:45 CET) at a sold-out San Siro, with official lineups now confirmed.
If ever there was a defining moment in the Serie A campaign, this is one.
Inter host Juventus in a Derby d’Italia loaded with title implications and enormous pressure on both sides.
However, Lautaro Martinez and his teammates have repeatedly shown they can deliver in decisive fixtures.

Meanwhile, Juventus arrive with momentum of their own and renewed attacking options, setting the stage for a high-intensity encounter.
Despite the stakes, Inter still have one notable absence.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu remains without Denzel Dumfries, although the Dutch wing-back has returned to partial training and is nearing his comeback.
Therefore, the Romanian tactician has made key midfield decisions following the return of two injured stars.
Inter Milan Vs Juventus – Barella Returns, Calhanoglu Starts On Bench

Nicolo Barella returns directly to the starting lineup after recovering from injury, restoring energy and intensity to Inter’s midfield.
Hakan Calhanoglu is also back available, but the Turkish international begins on the bench.
Piotr Zielinski keeps his place and will operate in a central role alongside Petar Sucic, who was a surprising late addition after it was initially expected that Mkhitaryan would start.
On the flanks, in-form Federico Dimarco and Brazilian Luis Henrique provide width and attacking thrust.
Inter Strength In Attack As Thuram & Lautaro Lead The Line

Marcus Thuram starts alongside captain Lautaro Martinez.
Indeed confirming Inter’s first-choice attacking partnership for the season’s most important fixtures.
Their chemistry and movement remain central to Inter’s attacking identity.
Especially against a Juventus defence built on physicality and structure.
Behind them, the midfield trio will look to control tempo and supply forward momentum.
Juventus Rely On McKennie & Yildiz Support Behind David

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti faced uncertainty surrounding Khephren Thuram, who misses out due to a bone edema issue.
Fabio Miretti was ready to step in when called upon.
Francisco Conceição returns to the starting lineup and joins Weston McKennie and Kenan Yildiz in support of striker Jonathan David.
The Bianconeri remain without long-term absentees Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik.

Meanwhile.. Juventus, a serie a team thrashed by Galatasaray… Lol… Laughable…
During Inter’s most dominant periods in history they have still had a tough time against Juve. When Juve came back up from serie B, Inter had a tough time against Juve, when Inter won the treble they had a tough time against Juve. Stop complaining! And whoever feels sebastien esposito is better than Pio is a fool, and whoever thinks Pio should go on loan is a fool!
How many times these decisions went against us in this fixture. Yes it’s a soft yellow and ref finally makes a big decision that swing momentum our way. He was crap all game with wrong decisions going both ways. Chiellini and Comolli fighting with him made me laugh. One wrong decision goes against them and they are losing their heads. I take 3 points and apologise to no one. Suck it Rube and Bilan fans.
The refs always helped merdentus, that’s why we had a bad time vs them.
Red card changed the game… That was never a red.. VAR ought to have been consulted and Bastoni (a weak defender by the way) ought to have been booked for diving (poor professionalism and completely uncalled for as he was in control)… Ooh well, great game apart from that incident. .
Would have been different if it was the other way around. Dont like sandro – support rubentina. Oh wait…i forgot that plastic is fantastic. Tell me how toro, dima and niko are also bad. Cry me a river. Ragebait with your dad and see how it goes.
Here we support inter. If you don’t like it you can get out
Please answer this very straightforward question. Was that a yellow card?
As for whether I support Juve… Nah I don’t.. Everyone here knows I am critical towards serie a and Italian football as a whole… I want a strong inter, and a strong serie a…
Weak defender is an extremely harsh way to describe bastoni
Well, having watched the likes of Nesta, Cannavaro, Maldini, Ferrari, Baresi (I was very young then), YES HE IS A WEAK DEFENDER!!! But he’s a decent player though..
All this talk about Kalulu, nobody seems to remember Juve’s second goal came about after series of fouls. unbelievable how these stupid rube fans have such a tunnel vision.
We checked all the boxes:
Win against daniella, doveri and abisso at the same time – check
Pio with an important goal in the derby – check
Win in the last minute – check
Rube crying about the ref – check
I was literally screaming at the tv with how much pulling was happening to us right before the second goal but Rube got away with so much soft touches throughout the game especially when we were pressing on their side of the field.
The win was more symbolic than the actual 3 points. The players knew if they don’t win now it’d hard to do so again against big teams in Italy.
All the thefts made by M3rdentus in 100 years of history come back to you thieves the referee was not the alibi of the losers long live Inter And Marotta!!!
I will never get tired of rubentinas crying. Tell me more girls. Suddenly all the refs and var is bad. Didnt hear anything when pio was being choked twice against viola. Fok rube. For rube. Forza Inter. Cry me a river
Chivu is getting better
Can someone tell me what was the case with Bastoni? I see alot of milan and juve fans pissed off for some reason. What happened? I missed the whole game but only watch 20 minutes in 2nd half.
Never mind i just watched the highlights. LOL !!
Take the points, move on, huge win!
Pio proving me wrong, which I’m very happy about.
I think he should start.
Lautaro bashers are a nightmare!
Not even haaland scores every game.
Lauti does far more too.
As for specifics of today, it was always going to be close, we still have frailties defensively and a painful reliance on Dimarco and Lautaro going forward.
Players like sucic, Diouf, bisseck, Henrique are not the first team quality we hoped for but they’re what we’ve got and hopefully will improve but if they’re playing you can’t expect us to roll decent well organised teams with quality and pace over.
At least 5 of their team walk straight into our starting eleven.
So I’m just glad we’ve got some wins over decent opposition over the line recently, now we need como to do us a favour
All the negative comments directed at the team and referee are an insult to the work being done by Chivu and this team. The amount of refereeing decisions that went against us early in the season was ridiculous. Now it’s our turn, we get so many what ifs and negative reactions towards the team. I’m flying high with this one. F**k all else. Forza Inter!!! We DESERVED this win.
Fok em bro. Rubentinas ragebaiting here. Let them suffer. Forza Inter. We got this. And its much sweeter this way. Forza Inter. Campeone di calcio
I honestly thought we were going to choke again. I’m glad with some players Sucic was good today, Zielinksi improved a lot in the second half, calhanoglu is needed in our midfield, Pio so happy for him and scoring in a derby, and the rest…
We are struggling despite the win against 10 men Juve and that’s quite worrying. We are lack of efficiency in converting chances to goal and have so many wrong passes. We need to improve the defense – it’s crap. Akanji Bisseck is quick to protect the team when playing high defensive line, but their defensive skill is far from the likes of Acerbi. We need a fast version of acerbi and one of Bisseck/ akanji.
Lautaro played quite badly today. Is he not comfortable against a physical defender like Bremer?
Chivu got all the subs correct. Pio added more threats and with Hakan mid became more live than with Barela.
Zie is the player who played most vertically and creative. He should play in all big matches unless injury. Hope he is health.
Chivu put the correct players on, but he should have had Lautaro off and replaced with Bonny earlier as he is a big game changer for us. Bonny can dribble and has pace, sometimes his passing can be poor but he isnt predictable like Lautaro. Nonetheless we won and thats all that matters now and beat one of the big boys finally
I wonder why Zielinski was hardly used by Inzaghi… His qualities while in Napoli was as clear as day… Apart from injury/fitness, I see no reason why he wasn’t used by Inzaghi
Mikki had already cemented his spot in midfield and frattessi was doing more when given the opportunity than zielinski under inzaghi. He had his pecking order and was unwilling to compromise no matter what zielinski did. That is why he would go play for Poland.
have to give spaletti credit. he completely nullified dimarco on the left and forced all out attacks to come from the rt through henrique. spaletti is an excellent coach! the red card was a massive game changer. I don’t think we could have won if it was 11-11. a draw or a loss would have been the result. kalulu was actually putting good balls in.
Still Dimarco got his assist…again!
Forza Inter!
exactly.. after the card. before the card he was completely nullified.. feels good that luck went our way this time!
Don’t mind some fans here who see the facts but would never admit it… Key word today… “LUCK”, cause that was never a 2nd yellow…
Lautaro shouldn’t play against the big teams in Serie A, they know how to play him and he looks so very very average against them. In Europe there is more space so he has more time.
Lautaro is a great player vs small teams. That’s his limit.
Is that what he was against Bayern last season?
We won. That is all that matters. Sure that the game was not perfect, but we won.
For every good game vs big teams, he has like 4 or 5 bad games vs them. It is what it is, the coach has to make more use of the others when Lautaro isn’t doing well.
Lautaro is the weaker player in the team . Inter never had a player that missed those good opportunities he had.
Yeah…blah blah blah…learn football
We are doing well.
The red card was ridiculous though, highly unfair.
That was not fault.
it wasn’t ridiculous. the first yellow was obvious, and the second was an obvious have out to stop an attack. It was soft, but not ridiculous.
I wish Fabregas the best of luck against bilan! forza inter
He lost to Fiorentina today
It is extra motivation for him to beat Milan.
yes! that sounds promising. Como is a very tough opponent
lmaooo…ref would get “hairdryer” nor get good sleep either cause he let inter win
Now juve will blame their defeat on the red card bunch of lowlives. I only watched 25 minutes of 2nd half but d@mn I’m so happy we won against m3rda. Forza inter!!!
they will sew, and apply to international court and blah blah…. ))) their style
Broooo…we wooon my maaannn.. 21 incoming
How can we struggle so much against crippled Juve, they look physically stronger, thank god Zielinski saves the day
When we played great in big games this season we lost or tied. I’l take a win playing avg and getting lucky. IDC.
Finally a win against a top team, albeit still with questions. Complacency and carelessness is still prevalent in the squad after going up in score and needs to be worked on.
We have won vs Roma and Dortmund too.
Agree, but its been psykological enigma, maybe the ice now is broken and we will beat Milan too
Yes indeed lots of them out there. Biggest one the mentality of our players. Koopmainers defends open goal on one end being a man down and Bastoni is scared to jump on Ona header. Something needs to change.
Aaah yeah my man. Forza Inter
Yeeeeees. Finally we beat Rube. It wasn’t the greatest of games but I’ll take 3 points. Pio should start over Thuram. Zieliński with a winner. What a season he’s having. Great that Hakan is back.
Wow, now I see Dimarco again assisted. Awesome! Lautaro 14 goals and Fede 14 assists (according to Lega Calcio).
Chivu now has a good problem. Zielinski is playing the best football in his Inter career
Solointer, we won against Juventus. Something that don’t happen often. 🙂
don’t see how this is chivu problem… when barella is back on form, barella, chala and zielinski bcom an automatic start. with diouf, sucic, mhiki as backup.
they have a better goalkeeper, they have way better defense, they have way way miles away better mental strength.
Just beautiful! Not a fan of the red card BUT that goal they scored earlier in the season when a foul was committed on Bonny so I guess it’s even lol
3 points won and I do not care how they got them. Played poorly but got the result and that’s what matters when chasing a Championship
zielinski what a player!!!!
pio what a future!!!
dimarco what a left foot!!!
chivu finally a big win.
Chivu this win is on you!
also Lautaro almost cost us the game
I think Spaghetti is still interisti unlike c.unte
big respect for spaletti. ppl think c.unte won us the league. but the credit should go to spalleti, who made the path clear for c.unte.
Spaletti who resurrected inter by winning against Lazio 3-2 to send them back to CL
That was all stef
Woooohooooooo, win against Juventus. Big night for my Inter.
too many chance to kill the game, but Inter should do this crazy game
BIG BIG 3 POINTS
Win is a win! What a fight!
Finally a big game win!!! One more big game left!!
We have won vs Roma and Dortmund too.
no goal from bonnie
Cant wait to have all three guys healthy in midfield. Zielinski is in TOP form.
Now please defend Lol
Zielinski!!! I wonder why Inzaghi seldom used him… Ooh wait… I know… Daftness…
Came out of nowhere. Like a new signing when fit and healthy.
it’s beautiful. Thank u zielinksi.
Zielinsky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if they had 11 men on the pitch, juventus would be leading by now, they are simple a better team. Our ownership does not want to spend and buy new quality players and some of our “fans” on this forum are fully supportive of those stingy transfer policies.
Probably true..
Nobody is a fan, we simply understand why the team doesn’t spend that much.
Zielinski!!
Zielinskiiiiiiiiiii. Paaaaaaaaaaaaark the bus.
Hope we don’t go deep again. Chivu!!!
Polish power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMGGG!!!!
GOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL
What a damn goal!!!!
i wish we had Martinez as a goalkeeper today. sommer is trash
these losers are going to concede the third goal f.ki.ng retards
I wish Lautaro was swapped. He’s our weakness. Team is carrying him today
these losers are going to concede the third goal f king retards
