Serie A leaders Inter Milan have emerged as the leading candidates to sign departing Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 31-year-old has laid out his contract demands amid the Nerazzurri’s interest.

Leon Goretzka is on the verge of leaving Bayern Munich after eight years.

Indeed, his deal at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer, with the Bavarians deciding not to offer him a renewal.

Despite turning 31 last month, Goretzka can realistically hope to land at least one more lucrative contract before hanging up his boots.

Therefore, he is reportedly seeking a three-year contract worth approximately €6.5 million net per season.

Although Oaktree was ready to sanction Inter’s move for the former Schalke man, Goretzka’s salary request could be a sticking point.

However, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan likely to leave and Davide Frattesi facing an uncertain future, this feels like a no-brainer for Inter.

Furthermore, Roof, the same agency that tried to help Inter sign Ademola Lookman last summer, takes care of Goretzka’s interests.
