Inter Milan are reportedly determined to bolster the right wing with the addition of sought-after wingback Marco Palestra.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have set their sights firmly on the Cagliari loanee.
Marco Palestra has gone from strength to strength at the Unipol Domus this season.
Indeed, the 20-year-old has made 28 Serie A appearances for the Sardinians, establishing himself as one of Italy’s brightest prospects.
However, he’s expected to return to his parent club Atalanta in the summer, with La Dea already slapping a huge €40 million price tag on their in-demand starlet.
Inter Milan Hellbent on Signing Marco Palestra
Inter are not the only club interested in acquiring Palestra’s services.
Indeed, AC Milan, Napoli, and Juventus are also in the mix, and Atalanta chiefs must be rubbing their hands ahead of the summer.
Still, La Dea’s prohibitive asking price threatens to deter some of Palestra’s potential suitors.
However, Inter may not be one of them, as they prepare for life after Denzel Dumfries, who could leave the club at the end of the season.
Since Luis Henrique has fallen short of expectations, the Nerazzurri must bolster Cristian Chivu’s options on the right wing.
At 20, Palestra perfectly fits the bill.

we didn’t spend $40million on Lookman…. so that can be added to the next transfer window so we should have plenty of money to buy this kid.
BUT Atalanta hate us and never want to sell to us so it ain’t happening.
After winning the scudetto Marotta will insist that this team can still give a lot and he will renew all these aging players contract just so he doesn’t have to spend money to replace them. Just mark my words
Atalanta will not sell to us. We sold them Zalewski last summer and they wouldn’t let Lookman go. I hope that I’m wrong, but theywill sell to highest bidder (read PL clubs).
if we take him, I prefer we switch to 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2, enough with this old 3 defense system, it is weak
