After the draw at home against Torino, Inter coach Luciano Spallett shared his thoughts on the match and the result in an interview with Sky Sports starting with the trouble Inter had today to score stating that “Torino are a team on the same level as us, I can not see any difference between the two teams.”

Spalletti continued that “they played according to their game plan and went for the win. We on the other hand made mistakes that we usually do not do and that ended up in this draw. We have a strong team that knows how to react, at the end of the game we could have had a different result. Sometimes you score in those situations, today we didn’t.”

Spalletti was then asked about Inter captain Mauro Icardi’s performance arguing that “he did what he is supposed to do today, helping out the team as much as is needed. He was a bit affected by a kick he got early on in the game, something that threw him off his rythm. But he, as the rest of the team, did what is expected of him.”

In conclusion the Nerazzurri coach was asked to comment on the performances of Eder and Vecino starting with the Brazilian born striker stating that ” Eder is a strong alternative, that is why we renewed his contract. He plays in three roles and when you have a player like him, that comes on able to change a game, it is also important to praise the mentality, because this is very hard to do. Vecino’s shot was interesting, but it ended up hitting the cross-bar.”
