The pain in his thigh that Inter striker Mauro Icardi felt after yesterday’s practice at Appiano Gentile, made every Inter fan around the world fear the worst.

However the examination he underwent immediately after practice showed signs of the injury not being as serious as everybody expected, but everything pointed to the Inter Captain being sidelined for the home game against Crotone on Saturday night at 20.30 CET.

This is now confirmed by SkySport24, who also states that the game against the Calabrians will be the only game the Argentinian will miss due to his injury. The Inter number 9 should, if everything goes as planned, be able to return to the pitch for the match against Bologna the following week which is scheduled to be played on February 11th at 3.00 pm CET at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

In the meantime Inter are being cautious and new examinations will take place in order to monitor how Icardi’s recovery moves on.
