Inter maintain their interest in Bologna’s Simeone Verdi as the Summer market approaches. After the last minute collapse that would have seen Verdi go to Naploli in January, it is likely that Aurelio De Laurentiis would have cooled his interest in the player, which could open the gates for a move to Inter, who had also enquired about the player but were bound by Financial Fair Play rules in January.
However, the Nerazzurri are reportedly still after the player and could make an official move during the Summer.
Simeone Verdi’s addition would make the position of right-winger extremely competitive, with the likes of Antonio Candreva and Yann Karamoh already at the club. It’s unlikely Karamoh would be sold so early after buying him, especially considering his young age and high potential, despite recent interest from Chelsea and Barcelona.
Therefore he would most likely be a replacement for the ageing Candreva, who turned 31 yesterday.
If you were Verdi, would you go to Napoli or Inter, next mercato?
napoli of course, theyre way more appealing
FFP is the story of our life. It seems every year the closer we get to resolving FFP something pops up and FFP is waiting for us. I say fuck it break the FFP rule buy some quality players and pay the fine. I still prefer Cheisa on the right.
I would love us to sign Verdi- but there are already rumours floating around that the summer transfer window will be hampered by FFP once again, leaving us looking at loans and freebies, in which case Bernard from Shaktar could be an exciting option…
Not only FFP but apparently the Chinese government as well. So we might need to sell our top players ( The ones that other teams are willing to buy). From what I can see now it’s same situation like in many seasons before but with more reasons and excuses not to spend.
Another disappointing Mercato on the horizon….
bernard is interesting..i wont mind signing freebies like de vrij + bernard..but that jubeshit player i’m not so sure
