Inter and newly elected club President Steven Zhang fly to London with the hope of reaching the UEFA Champions League knock-out stage with one match to spare of the group stage.
In today’s newspaper edition Rome based Corriere dello Sport explains the situation: “Reaching the knock-out stage would mean that the first goal of the season will be reached and confirming the path set up for the club and organization in the summer of 2017.”
According to the report: “There is also confirmation about Inter’s September 30th report from Inter subsidiary who converges the commercial and TV-rights revenues. In the first quarter of the current year a substantial increase in revenues has already been recorded compared to the same period one year ago: €98.5 million against €56 million. The difference is because of the Champions League which has guaranteed €14.5 million from sponsors and €17.7 million for the first phase participation, while TV-rights are around €70.8 million.”
In conclusion the Corriere reports that: “The only setbacks concern revenues from partnership agreements in Asia which totaled €182.6 million from July 1st 2016, but so far Inter has only received €76.5 million.”
