Inter’s Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi was by far the best player on the pitch yesterday in Inter’s game against PSV when the team went out of the Champions League. The striker, with yet another goal yesterday, gets a more than decent 7.5 rating from Milan based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport who have published their players ratings from the game at San Siro.
In second place is Matteo Politano who gets half a point less (7.0) after another great and convincing test. There is then a three way tie for third place with Samir Handanovic, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Milan Skriniar, all getting a 6.5 rating. Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic are ok thanks to a 6.0 rating where as Keita Baldé (5.5), Borja Valero (5.5), Antonio Candreva (5.0), Ivan Perisic (5.0) and Lautaro Martinez (5.0) were not so ok. The worst rating of 4.5 goes to Inter full back Kwadwo Asamoah who made a horrible mistake that caused Inter to concede.
