Inter Milan are gearing up to meet with the agent of coach Simone Inzaghi and defender Alessandro Bastoni to wrap up contract extension talks.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are ready to meet with Italian agent Tullio Tinti soon.

There are a couple of major topics that the Nerazzurri want to discuss. They want to wrap up contract extension negotiations with both Inzaghi and Bastoni.

Inter Milan Want To Wrap Up Inzaghi & Bastoni Contract Talks

First, there is Inter coach Inzaghi. The Nerazzurri want to get things all done regarding the 47-year-old’s deal soon.

The reason for this is that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has a strong policy of not starting a season with a coach whose contract is one year away from expiring.

Both Marotta and President Steven Zhang have publicly backed Inzaghi to remain next season. Inzaghi and Inter are already working on preparations for the upcoming season.

As such, the Nerazzurri will meet with Inzaghi’s agent Tinti to discuss the matter very soon.

As it happens, Tinti also represents an important player in Inter’s squad as well, in the form of Alessandro Bastoni.

The Nerazzurri have made extending Bastoni’s contract a priority.

The 24-year-old’s current deal runs out at the end of next June, but they are in a hurry to agree am extension well before then.

Inter have learned from bitter experience what can happen if they don’t lock a player down on a new deal and let him go into the final year of his contract via their handling of the Milan Skriniar situation.

The Slovakian rejected a contract extension offer and will join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

It has even been reported that, if Bastoni doesn’t pen a new deal, he could be sold in the summer. The Italy international is also a target for Manchester City, PSG, and Juventus.

However, there doesn’t look to be any risk of that happening. Bastoni has confirmed that he plans on staying.
