Inter Milan are not planning to sell defender Francesco Acerbi this summer, despite interest from La Liga side Mallorca.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Francesco Acerbi has been an Inter player for three years now.
The veteran Italian international joined the Nerazzurri from Lazio in the summer of 2022.
Acerbi has won the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia with Inter. He has also appeared in two Champions League finals.
It would be fair to say that Acerbi has been a stalwart in defense for Inter.
Furthermore, the former Sassuolo defender also scored one of Inter’s most memorable European goals of the modern era.
It was Acerbi’s stoppage time equalizer that sent the Nerazzurri’s thrilling Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona into extra time.
Inter Not Planning To Sell Francesco Acerbi Despite Mallorca Interest

At the same time, Acerbi will turn 38 next season. Time is not exactly on the veteran defender’s side.
Inter do have the option to terminate Acerbi’s contract, which expires at the end of next June, by paying a fee to the 37-year-old.
Nevertheless, Tuttosport report that Inter are not inclined to offload Acerbi this summer.
It is true that Inter are pushing to sign a long-term replacement for the Italian international in the form of Giovanni Leoni.
However, the Nerazzurri feel that Acerbi has one more year left in him.
Then, there is the interest of La Liga club Mallorca in Acerbi, reports Tuttosport. They could try and tempt the veteran defender to La Liga.
However, the newspaper anticipate that Inter are in no hurry to see Acerbi out the door.
