Francesco Pio Esposito has postponed his summer holiday to coach young players at Voluntas Brescia, the grassroots club owned by the Esposito brothers, in a session held at the Centro Sportivo San Filippo.

Voluntas Brescia is not simply a community club the Espositos patronise from a distance. Francesco Pio, alongside brothers Salvatore and Sebastiano, completed the purchase of 100% of the club’s share package and the family’s father Agostino now runs day-to-day operations. The summer camp at San Filippo is a structured initiative across June and July, built around technical development and values like fair play – not a one-off photo opportunity.

The coaching session placed Esposito directly on the pitch with the children rather than in any kind of ambassadorial capacity. That matters. Indeed, the Voluntas project carries genuine weight in the local football ecosystem. The club has renewed a youth-sector collaboration with Brescia Calcio’s academy, and the Espositos have explicitly framed it as a vehicle for children’s development, not a vanity project built around professional names.

Esposito will not feature in the upcoming World Cup, which gives him a slightly longer runway into pre-season.
