Celtic FC’s young swedish star John Guidetti spoke in the mixed zone after the game about a number of topics. He had the following to say about the game.
It’s a shame, I don’t think that van Dijk should’ve gotten a second yellow card for that challange. It’s incredible, the referee killed the game. I think we played really well, we created a lot of chances and I think that we should’ve gotten a penalty. I got to see the penalty situation on video and it seems like a clear penalty. It’s always hard to play with one man down, playing against Inter is difficult because they’re a good team and plus the San Siro gives them a big advantage. But still, it’s sad that the match was decided by the referee. Is it just because of the referee that Celtic got knocked out from the Europa League? It’s hard to play with ten men and not get a penalty that you deserve. As I said, for me there was a penalty we should’ve had and we should’nt have gotten the red card.
The Celtic fans has yet again proven to be fantastic following their team everywhere. They’re always like this, always fantastic. They always support us in every occasion. Because of this I wanted the game to be decided by the players and not the referee. Have you had the chance to talk to Mancini either before or after the game? No we only got to say goodbye. I was focused on doing my job for Celtic. But I’m still greatful for what he has done for me, it was nice seeing him and seeing that he is doing well.
Maybe one day you’ll sign for Inter? Who knows, life is full of surprises. As of right now I’m only focused on finishing the season well for Celtic. I tried out for Inter when I was young.

1. Do you think if you were awarded your penalty that Inter would not have played differently to press to score or you would have won 1-0 ? Because 1-1 wouldn’t have made a difference.

I mean, he is partially true. The second yellow card for the red was just, but the first was not. And if that did not happen, who knows what would have been 11vs11. But I will not complain as we had a really grimm era of us not getting about 10 penalties under Mazzari. We won by a skill goal from Fredy in the end, not a penalty or a free kick. FORZA INTER.

The ref did not give decisions fair and square,the sending-off was wrong and Celtic should of got a penalty.
Wouldn’t say that they should have got a penalty. Rather, a easier refeere might have blowed the whistle.
Guidetti probably should have received a yellow card for wonderful dive the second time. Little touch on the arm and oops there goes both Guidetti’s legs haha. Better yet, give that man an oscar.

Celtic was very dirty and very combative, they made 21 fouls this game and the home game they made 20 fouls, they deserved to get atleast 2 more red cards and also the red card could have been unfair but Icardi passed the player and he tackled him so that was a foul cause this challenge ended a huge chance for Icardi to get infront on goal
If we start crying it wont help believe me. Just need to learn to accept the defeat and thats it. And nobody can say from the heart that celtic deserved to got to the next round. Inter was better in celtic and much better in sansiro even tho u guus complining for the penalties red card there always something when ur team loses.
