Football agent Gianfranco Cicchetti has been speaking about Inter’s Summer transfer plans in an interview for IlSussidiario.net.
Here is what Cicchetti had to say to the microphones:
Will Icardi sign renewal despite rumours of Real Madrid?
“Yes, the agreement for the Argentine is almost complete. Contract for four years worth 3.5M Euro a season plus bonuses.”
Who will be sacrificed?
“Handanovic will leave, with Liverpool and Manchester United the favourites. The second to be sacrificed could be Kovacic who is liked by Barcelona. A deal on the Croatian could be worth 30M Euro.”
The hunt for Handanovic replacement, who could come?
“Mancini wants an experienced goalkeeper at a low cost. In pole would be Cech but Arsenal and PSG are also interested. Other keepers linked are Romero, who would be available for free from Sampdoria, Karnezis of Udinese and Ochoa of Malaga.”
In defence who could be coming?
“Inter are preparing a double swoop of Galatasaray for Kaya at centre back and Alex Telles on the left.”
On the right who are the players followed by Inter?
“They really like Mayke of Cruzeiro as well as Widmer of Udinese and Donati of Leverkusen. Also mentioned has been Maxi Perreira of Benfica who is available for free.”
In midfield there will be Toure?
“Yes, he will be the star of the midfield. Thiago Motta is also close to a return. Inter are also following Falque of Genoa while in attack Jovetic could come depending on whether Pelegrini stays on as Manchester City manager for next season. Also several youngsters being followed by Inter include, Mammana, Kranevitter, Carrillo and Susic.”

Dont worry. We have offered Allan, but rejected. At least our interest to Allan is real. But I think he’ll come if only we succeed to find guarin’s next club.

Oh and I think falque is a good alternative to jovetic. I think falque has the same attribute as felipe anderson except he’s like 3-4 years older. He’s not too young and not too old either. And not prone to injury as bad as jovetic.
Wow this guy sure knows a lot, and it sounds true.. happy that icardi will only earn 3.5m with bonus. And finally sergio romero is in our market. Im not a big fans of him, but the fact that he’s a argentine national gk, make him a decent replacement for handa for FREE. But I dissappointed not to see Allan as our transfer target.
As for kova, I honestly cant see kova accelerating in Inter. He’s clueless under Mancini, he might have a couple good movements or passes. But his performance was so awful in summary. I dont mind to sell him if we can get toure, motta, and Allan as replacement.
And Im wondering, why no ayew and konoplyanka?? At least we try to approach them.

you are crazy lol icardi is better than kovacic plain and simple. he’s 21 and almost the highest goal scorer in serie A. There is no way kovacic is worth more than icardi.
Call me crazy or anything you want..but in my opinion icardi being a dick nowadays..we are gonna rise his salary but he’s asking more..it’s remind of Rinaldo who leaves to real Madrid after we did something with his injury..and I saw how kovacic want to stay with us..

If that’s the names that we’re looking for, from now I’m sure that this will be terrible mercato and we will have another awful season. Apart from Cech, Toure and Motta, who are proven players, all others are mediocre at best. Yaya is real class, but i really don’t think it’s a good decision to give a 32 years old player 4 years contract with at least 5 million euros salary! Mancini wants experienced goalkeeper for Handanovic replacement, but he doesn’t care that Romero, Karnezis and Ochoa are average and nothing more. What to say about Kaya, Mayke, Donati, etc.? That’s could be anything else, but not improvement.

You forget one important thing. Inter will play a 4-2-3-1 strategy next season. It’s the strategy Mancini wanted to play with this season, but couldn’t because the players weren’t available.
Please don’t buy jovetic… he’s expensive and overrated… and injury prone…
he is NOT overrated – take a look at his numbers from this season where he barely got the chance to play! he’s has been injured, true, but so has Santon and he seems like a great buy!

Signing Toure is more than enough for me. Motta is good but I don’t want Inter sacrificing Kovacic and Brozovic (looks like Mancio will develop 3 powerful midfielder with Toure-Motta-Medel). For a GK, I prefer Romero or Neto. We can get one of them for free.

Medel has no business playing with Toure and Motta, I think that Medel will move to the bench if Motta and Toure arrive because they are strong and stable enough defensively so there is no need for a player whose only quality is that he’s aggressive and that is being wasted because he just runs around like a headless chicken and leaves the defence unprotected.
Mancini plans to play 4-2-3-1, Toure and Motta would be two central midfielders so there wouldn’t a place for Medel.
And that is a good thing, I’m not a fan od Medel, he has no place on a team that wants to compete for trophies, he is too one-dimensional player.
i hope not …. a 4-2-3-1 will only push away kovacic from the starting lineup . a 4-3-3 can provide width and is more balanced and tailored towards our players . brozovic gnoukouri hernanes .

what the heck do you people see in Medel….HE SUCKS !! Like let me tell you something….Juve have Pirlo in the middle and are in first place….Roma have De Rossi and are in second place…..Lazio have Biglia and they are in 3rd place…..on the other hand Inter has Medel and then you wonder why you are in 8th place ??? Just sign De Jong he’s free at the end of the season and your problem is solved in the middle of the park.
i’m not saying that medel has the same quality with Pirlo, De Rossi, or Biglia. But so far, his performance has been good enough (IMO) for a debutant in serie A. For a midfield with “dirty-job”, he has provided us with very great accuracy in pass. I read in statistic that Medel is also the player who received most number pass from his teammates. If you haven’t noticed, each time Mancio subtitute a player, he always gives a piece of note (of instruction/change of formation) to be given to Medel which means Medel is Mancio’s right hand on the field who is able to interpret his tactic.
Ok i have got nothing against motta but replace kovacic with motta is quiet unlogical… he can bring us balance but we loose creativity in a team which has lacked it since sneijder’s exit.sell handa, from these goalies replace him with romero and use that money on toure… guarin can leave, we have gnokouri and in attack sell naga (hes worth around 8 mil. € i dont know why but ok) and bring someone decent not jojo

I see toure to play more in a central role not in a place behind strikers. But honestly bro, would u change kovacic for motta? And i would be happy if u were right with that armband cos it means that bye bye rano at least on a bench but it will not happen 🙁

It seems like shaqiri better in offensive half of our play, clearly he cant defend and his aggresivity is dangerous to be on the defensive side. If we play shaqiri, the midfield really do need more protention. Well, its not easy to find players like chuchu or simeone, those who offer protection in midfield while also lethal in attacks..probably nainggolan is the best in serie a currently in that category. If any team have 1 of those kind of player, it will be a massive boost for teamplay, and i should say that jube at least have 3 of those type currently, maybe thats why they are on winning cycle.
