After the loss (0-1) to Hamza Hamzaoglu’s Galatasaray, Inter coach Roberto Mancini commented on the match: “It was a good game. Galatasaray is a great team, the best that there is in Turkey. It has good players and, apart from the result, it was a friendly that we needed.”
“We create opportunities but we can not score goals. Luckily it is happening now, I’m sure that when we start to score we will continue to do so without any problem. After Sneijder’s goal the game changed, also because of the many substitutions, but we still created chances to equalize.”
“We had only one workout after the return from China, therefore it is understandable that we were not particularly brilliant. We saw some good things against a team that is ahead of us. At this stage it is best to meet strong formations and suffer defeats rather than choose easier opponents. It helps us understand where we need to improve. There is a shortage of goals, we will score them. Losing is annoying, but I’m not worried.”
