Inter are superior to AC Milan and it will be difficult for anyone to stop them now, at least according to the Rossoneri’s former midfielder Roberto Donadoni.

Antonio Conte’s side extended their lead at the top of Serie A to four points on Sunday with a dominant 3-0 win in the Derby della Madonnina.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez were both on target for the Nerazzurri and are on course to outscore all of Inter’s recent title-winning strike partnerships.

“Winning a derby in this way is a great confidence boost, and Inter benefits from it,” Donadoni remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb’s radio station TMW Radio.

“The Nerazzurri started better, but then AC Milan showed courage and created important chances, but the individual quality, especifically that of Samir Handanovic, was on show.

“I believe, in general, that Inter are superior to AC Milan and now they have hit real form.”

There are 15 games left of the season and Inter are most people’s favourites to go all the way and win the Scudetto.

Inter’s former defender Riccardo Ferri believes Antonio Conte is proving all his critics wrong, while Antonio Cassano has praised the Nerazzurri’s boss for creating ‘a perfect machine’.

Hernan Crespo and Aldo Serena have both hailed the Lukaku and Lautaro partnership today as one of the greatest in Europe.
