Inter are favourites to win Serie A this season because they have a clear identity on the pitch, according to Udinese coach Luca Gotti.

The Nerazzurri have been tipped to win the Scudetto by several bosses in Italy’s top flight today, with Benevento’s Pippo Inzaghi and Genoa’s Davide Ballardini also backing them to get the job done.

Antonio Conte’s side are four points clear at the top of the table after 24 games and while there is still plenty of time for someone else to catch Inter, Gotti appears convinced that the title is headed their way.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport today, Gotti said: “I think Inter are favourites due to the identity that the team has.

“They can rely on established mechanisms and have the ability to just focus on the league.”

Spezia coach Vincenzo Italiano differed from his colleagues, warning Inter to watch out for Juventus in their run-in.

Conte’s men will aim to preserve their advantage at the top when they visit Parma on Thursday.

Achraf Hakimi is expected to return to the side after serving a one-match suspension against Genoa on Sunday, but otherwise the Nerazzurri’s starting XI should be unchanged.
