Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are both following developments in the contract extension negotiations between Inter and defender Alessandro Bastoni.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that 23-year-old is a target for both of the pair, who would consider a move if he declines to sign a new contract with the Nerazzurri before the summer.

As things stand, Inter have made extending Bastoni’s contract past the end of June 2024 a priority.

It has been reported that negotiations are progressing well as the Nerazzurri and the 23-year-old’s representatives inch closer and closer towards agreeing on a new deal.

However, should Inter and Bastoni not be able to come to an agreement on an extension on a contract extension in a timely fashion, the Nerazzurri would not hesitate to sell the player this summer rather than allowing him to head into the final season of his deal.

Inter would have absolutely no intention of repeating the situation that has seen Milan Skriniar reject a new deal and leave for PSG at the end of this season.

Accordingly, both PSG and Juventus feel that there would be a chance of signing Bastoni in this summer if contract talks with Inter are to stall.

The Parisians are already set to sign one big-name defender from the Nerazzurri this summer in the form of Skriniar, but they also view Bastoni as a target.

Meanwhile, the Bianconeri are also admirers, and whilst it seems unlikely that the Nerazzurri would ever consider the sale of a player like Bastoni to direct rivals in the league, the Turin giants’ new board feel that it can’t hurt to dream.

Bastoni has also been widely linked with a number of big clubs, including Premier League giants and Bayern Munich.

In any event, it’s been widely reported that Bastoni wants to stay at Inter, and has also made clear that his wage demands are not excessive.
