Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta has made perfectly clear that Simone Inzaghi will stay as Inter Milan coach next season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri executive stated that he’s never had any doubts or thought seriously about replacing the 47-year-old.

In recent weeks, Inzaghi looks to have secured his future at Inter.

Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang confirmed it after the team reached the Champions League final against AC Milan.

The coach had been under fire at times due to the Nerazzurri’s very poor league form. Inter have lost twelve matches in Serie A after yesterday’s defeat away to Napoli.

This has led to reports that the 47-year-old former Lazio boss could be sacked. The likes of Bologna’s Thiago Motta and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi have been rumoured as potential replacements.

Were Inzaghi to be on his way, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in his signature.

However, the former Biancocelesti coach has given a decisive response to his critics and doubters.

Inzaghi has guided the Nerazzurri to the Coppa Italia and Champions League finals. They will have the chance to play for both titles against Fiorentina and Manchester City respectively.

Marotta: No Doubt Whatsoever Simone Inzaghi Will Be Inter Coach Next Season

Marotta has provided confirmation of what has increasingly seemed to be the case.

Of Inzaghi, the CEO said that “He’s managed to strengthen his position. This is also due to the performances that the team have put in, which are the result of his coaching.”

“To put a percentage on confirming that he’ll stay, it’s 100%,” Marotta was extremely clear. “He is our coach and will be again next season.”

Marotta also made clear that, despite all the rumours of Inzaghi being sacked and replaced, this was never the thought within the Nerazzurri.

“We never thought about replacing Inzaghi,” he said. “Not even for a second.”
