Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is on holiday in the city of Milan amid rumours linking him with Inter this summer.

This is highlighted by Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who note that the 23-year-old is in the city for a vacation, and is there for Milan Fashion Week, but also that there could be a purpose to the player’s visit beyond simply tourism.

Chalobah is a player on Inter’s radar.

The Englishman has been the subject of transfer links to the Nerazzurri since last summer.

Both towards the end of last summer window, and in January during the season just gone, Inter reportedly lined Chalobah up as a possible replacement in the event that Milan Skriniar were to be sold to Paris Saint-Germain.

In the end, Skriniar stayed put. Therefore, neither last summer not in January did the Nerazzurri go in search of a replacement.

However, Skriniar is set to leave and join PSG on a free transfer next season. Accordingly replacing the former Sampdoria star is a major priority for the summer.

Moreover, the futures of Francesco Acerbi and Danilo D’Ambrosio are also up in the air.

Chelsea Star Trevoh Chalobah In Milan Amid Inter Rumours

There is every reason to think that Chalobah could come back onto Inter’s radar.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri are pushing to sign the 23-year-old’s Chelsea teammate Kalidou Koulibaly. However, reports also note that Chalobah is Inter’s main backup option to the former Napoli man.

As such, Chalobah’s presence in Milan could be more than coincidental.

Of course, at this stage there is hardly anything concrete. The Gazzetta makes no mention of any serious talks between the player and his representatives and Inter.

However, the newspaper suggests, Chalobah could have Inter’s interest somewhere in his mind.

If the Englishman expects to be moving to Milan to play for the Nerazzurri, he may well be thinking about the settling-in process already.
