Juventus have not given up in trying to sign Inter linked Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Bianconeri still feel that they can get back into the race for the 23-year-old’s signature despite the fact that the Nerazzurri are now favourites.

It looks all but inevitable that midfielder Frattesi will leave Sassuolo during the summer transfer window.

Inter are in a strong position. The Nerazzurri have reportedly secured the agreement of the player to a transfer. They have also met with his club Sassuolo to try and make progress towards signing Frattesi.

The Neroverdi have made the price tag for Frattesi clear. The Emilians want €35 million to make a deal.

In the meantime Juventus and Roma are also keen to sign the 23-year-old.

Premier League clubs  Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United have also been linked. As have Paris Saint-Germain.

The player concerned has admitted that he wants to stay in Serie A. This would seem to entail that Frattesi will not make the switch to the Premier League.

Juventus Still Believe They Can Sign Inter Linked Sassuolo Star Frattesi

Whilst Inter have assumed pole position in the race to sign Frattesi, this doesn’t mean that Juventus are out of it yet.

Bianconeri Chief Football Officer Francesco Calvo recently met with Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali.

Juventus know that it will be tough, but they have every intention of trying to sign Frattesi.

The Bianconeri’s interest would be especially strengthened if former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot decides to turn down their contract extension offer to leave on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Juventus could be willing to offer young players to Sassuolo as part of a deal. Koni de Winter, Enzo Barrenechea, and Filippo Ranocchia are all possibilities in this respect.
