Inter Milan and Romelu Lukaku are both putting pressure on Chelsea to agree another loan deal for the Belgian.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that neither the Nerazzurri nor the 30-year-old striker want the negotiations with his parent club to drag on for too long.

From the perspective of Lukaku, there are no doubts – he wants Inter and only Inter.

The Belgian, who is currently on international duty with Belgium, doesn’t want to return to Chelsea, or join any other clubs. He is happy at Inter and wants to build on the season just gone there.

Moreover, Inter want to keep hold of the 30-year-old.

Despite the fact that Lukaku’s return was underwhelming for large parts of the season just gone, the last few weeks certainly weren’t.

The Belgian managed to put injuries and fitness problems behind him after struggling for a lot of the campaign. Lukaku showed blazing form in Serie A from mid-April onwards.

Inter Milan & Romelu Lukaku Both Want Chelsea To Speed Up Loan Renewal Talks

Whilst both of Inter and Lukaku have made their intentions clear, Chelsea are in no hurry.

The Premier League giants are still not convinced to agree a new loan deal right away. Particularly not considering that Inter want a discounted fee on the paid loan deal compared to last season.

Accordingly, as Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has previously suggested, Lukaku could have to return to Chelsea initially. Then, the Nerazzurri and the Blues will hold talks to see if they can agree a new loan deal.

Now, it is up to Lukaku and Inter to push the talks through.

The Belgian is reportedly happy to reduce his wages to make sure he stays at Inter next season.

Moreover, Lukaku will reportedly personally meet with Chelsea to stress that he wants them to speed up the talks with Inter.
