Inter Milan are ready to extend the contract of wingback Federico Dimarco to ward off the interest of Real Madrid and Man United.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri want to secure the 25-year-old’s future. To this end they are preparing to offer him a new deal.

At the moment, Dimarco’s contract with Inter runs until the end of June 2026.

The Italian international signed his most recent deal with the Nerazzurri in December of 2021.

However, Inter are preparing to offer the 25-year-old a new deal to reflect his increased importance to the team. Over the past twelve months, Dimarco has gone from being more of a versatile squad player to being a key member of the starting eleven.

This has been true both in Serie A and in the Champions League, where Dimarco has starred on the way to the final.

Inter Want To Hold Off Real Madrid & Man United Interest in Federico Dimarco

Dimarco’s form in the Champions League has not gone unnoticed by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Both of Real Madrid and Manchester United reportedly have the Inter wingback on their radar.

However, the Nerazzurri would have absolutely no intention of selling Dimarco. The Italian international is pivotal to the team, and Inter see him as a player to build their future around.

On the other side, the player feels the same way.

Dimarco is a boyhood Nerazzurri fan who came through the club’s academy. He is very happy where he is, and would be eager to sign a new deal, reports the Gazzetta.

Accordingly, an extension for Dimarco should be forthcoming in the next few months.

Inter Could Sell Robin Gosens Instead Of Dimarco

Inter are not necessarily going to keep their left flank as it currently is for next season, however.

Rather, the Gazzetta report, the Nerazzurri are prepared to sell Robin Gosens. The 28-year-old former Atalanta star is a target for Wolfsburg and Union Berlin.

Inter are ready to move for Monza’s Carlos Augusto as a replacement for the German.
