Inter Milan could use the sale of Marcelo Brozovic to ensure that they don’t lose hold of Nicolo Barella this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Coirriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri could sacrifice one midfielder to keep hold of another.

The summer transfer window is in full swing and several Inter midfielders are being linked with moves away.

However, the Nerazzurri are more ready to listen to offers for some than for others.

30-year-old Croatian international Brozovic looks to be a player who Inter are potentially ready to cash in on.

Saudi Pro League giants are moving in to try and sign Brozovic. To the player they are ready to offer a mega-money three-year deal.

And Al-Nassr are reportedly going higher and higher in their offer. The Saudi club’s bid is starting to approach the Nerazzurri’s asking price for the 30-year-old.

Fee For Marcelo Brozovic Could Ensure Inter Milan Don’t Have To Sell Nicolo Barella

On the other hand, the Nerazzurri will reportedly do everything they can to keep hold of Nicolo Barella amid Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Liverpool interest.

The 26-year-old former Cagliari star is virtually the last thing who the Nerazzurri would want to sell. The club see Barella as one of the cornerstones to build the team around for years to come.

The Premier League interest in Barella is strong, however.

There is every chance that even bigger offers will arrive for Barella than have already done as the transfer window wears on.

Accordingly, a bid could well tempt the Nerazzurri. Particularly if they are in need of a cash influx to fund signings.

This is a big part of the reason why Inter are ready to consider offers for Brozovic.

By selling the Croat, the Nerazzurri can bring in a transfer fee that would allow them to tell any and all suitors “hands off” when it comes to Barella.
