Champions League New Boys Prepare Offer For Inter Milan Wingback Robin Gosens

Bundesliga side Union Berlin are preparing an offer to sign Inter Milan Robin Gosens, and should make their bid in the next few days.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who also report that the Nerazzurri will go after Monza’s Carlos Augusto as a replacement.

Union Berlin are looking to make reinforcements ahead of their first ever season in the Champions League.

One of the main targets that the club from the German capital have identified is Inter wingback Gosens.

As of yet, Union have not yet made a formal offer to Inter for former Atalanta man. However, SI report, it is coming.

Union Berlin Ready To Make Formal Offer To Inter Milan For Robin Gosens

The Germans are ready to submit their first bid for Gosens in the next few days.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly asking for €20 million for the 28-year-old, who is also a target for Wolfsburg and Bournemouth.

Union will try to test Inter’s resolve with an initial offer. According to SI, Gosens could be a player who Inter are willing to cash in on this summer.

The German is still not first-choice on the left flank.

After the departure of Ivan Perisic last summer, Gosens had hoped to make the first-choice left-wingback role his own. However, it has instead been Federico Dimarco who has really come into his own season.

There is now little doubt that Dimarco is the main starter, even with Gosens finding some form in the last few months.

Inter Milan Keen On Monza Star Carlos Augusto As Gosens Replacement

If Inter sell Gosens, they will go in search of a replacement.

The Nerazzurri would want a player who can deputize for Dimarco rather than a new first-choice starter.

Monza wingback Carlos Augusto is the player Inter have in mind to replace the German.

The Nerazzurri have already laid the groundwork for a move for the 24-year-old.

SI also report that Monza have their own replacement in mind to replace Augusto. The Brianzoli will reportedly go after Hellas Verona’s Josh Doig.
