Inter Milan, Juventus, and Arsenal are all in the race to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is pushing to leave the Italian capital although his eventual destination is still far from clear.
Milinkovic-Savic’s time at Lazio looks to be coming to an end.
The Serb’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out at the end of next June. However, he has absolutely no intention of signing an extension.
Miliunkovic-Savic has communicated his intention not to sign a new deal to Lazio for some time.
The Biancocelesti know that this summer would represent their last opportunity to cash in on the star midfielder for a big fee.
Moreover, the Corriere report, the player concerned also wants to leave. He knows the situation, and he and his agent Mateja Kezman are pushing Lazio.
Inter, Juventus & Arsenal All Thinking About Move For Milinkovic-Savic
Reportedly, Lazio value Milinkovic-Savic at €40 million.
However, the Biancocelesti would be prepared to lower the cash fee if a player going the other way is included.
One player that Lazio want is Juventus midfielder Nicolo Rovella.
The Bianconeri do certainly consider Milinkovic-Savic a target. Particularly if Adrien Rabiot were to leave.
According to the Corriere, Juventus are currently offering €25 million plus wingback Luca Pellegrini. Pellegrini had been on loan at Lazio for the second half of last season.
However, the Corriere report, the Biancocelesti prefer to take Pellegrini back on another loan next season.
Meanwhile, staying in Serie A, Inter are certainly interested in signing Milinkovic-Savic. This is particularly the case due to coach Simone Inzaghi, who worked with the Serb for over five seasons at Lazio.
AC Milan selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United also opens up a big vacancy in their midfield. The Rossoneri could move for Milinkovic-Savic as the summer goes on.
Lastly, the Gazzetta notes, from the Premier League Arsenal in particular would be interested in the ex-Genk midfielder.
