This coming week will be decisive in determining where Inter Milan target Davide Frattesi plays next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who suggest that the Nerazzurri could have an advantage in the race for the 23-year-old’s signature due to the imminent signing of Marcus Thuram.

The future of Sassuolo and Italy midfielder Frattesi looks to be a very hot topic for this summer in Serie A.

Inter want to sign the Azzurri star for next season. However, the Nerazzurri would have to beat Juventus, Roma, AC Milan, and Lazio to Frattesi’s signature.

According to the Gazzetta, the transfer saga shouldn’t drag on for too much longer however.

This coming week should see big developments that will clarify what the immediate future holds for Frattesi.

How Marcus Thuram Signing Can Give Inter The Advantage In The Race For Davide Frattesi

Inter’s plan to sign Frattesi looks very clear.

The Nerazzurri will try and complete a deal to sell Marcelo Brozovic first. Al-Nassr are closing in.

Then, Inter will be ready to reinvest the fee they get for Brozovic in closing on a deal to sign Frattesi.

In a financial sense, Inter could get an indirect boost from another big piece of business they have slated for this summer. Namely, the Nerazzurri’s imminent signing of Marcus Thuram.

A key factor in the deal for Thuram is the fact that the 25-year-old is arriving without a transfer fee.

By making their big attacking signing to replace Edin Dzeko a free transfer, Inter can therefore allocate more towards their chase of Frattesi. This may prove crucial as the negotiations heat up with Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi will naturally hope that a bidding war between Serie A’s elite will raise the price for Frattesi.

Inter will not be unprepared for this. They should have cash on hand to not get priced out of a move for the 23-year-old.
