Inter Milan and Al-Nassr have agreed a fee of around €20 million for midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

This according to Spanish news outlet Relevo, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old is now on the verge of finally making the move to Al-Nassr after all the drama of the past week.

There has not been a dull moment in the negotiations between Inter and Al-Nassr Brozovic.

First, it had seemed that the Saudi Pro League had sealed a transfer for the 30-year-old. They shook hands with the Nerazzurri on a fee of €23 million.

However, then Brozovic decided not to immediately accept Al-Nassr’s deal. The Croat decided to ask for a whopping €30 million per season in wages to make the deal happen.

The interest of Barcelona continued to tempt the Croatian international. He wanted to wait, whilst Inter and Al-Nassr pushed to make a deal happen.

Then, Brozovic relented – he gave the all-clear for the move to happen.

However, with the player’s all-important green light secured, Al-Nassr then slashed their offer for him to Inter. The Nerazzurri were reportedly furious at this new offer of €13 million and slammed the door.

Inter Milan & Al-Nassr On The Verge Of Agreeing Deal For Marcelo Brozovic

After the initial angry response of Inter to Al-Nassr’s greatly reduced offer, however, the mood in negotiations calmed down.

Since yesterday’s shock development the two clubs have been back in talks. And, according to Relevo, these have moved towards the final stages.

Inter and Al-Nassr have worked together to arrive at a new agreement.

Relevo report that the fee for the deal will be around €20 million.

Now, it looks as though after the whirlwind of the past week, Brozovic will indeed join Al-Nassr.

Only a few months ago Brozovic being sold would’ve seemed unthinkable. However, the midfielder’s situation at Inter has changed.

The Croat has missed long spells with injuries in the season just gone. Whilst he was out, Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as a starting-quality option in his position.

Moreover, a rift has reportedly formed between Brozovic and Inter. Management of the midfielder’s injuries are reportedly central to the reason for this.
