Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is asking for a massive €30 million per season to agree a deal with Al-Nassr.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the 30-year-old is still expecting the Saudi Pro League club to go up significantly from their €20 million per season wage offer before he’ll green light a transfer.

Brozovic’s move to Al-Nassr is currently hanging in the balance.

The two clubs met yesterday afternoon. They all but shook hands on a deal for Brozovic.

Inter are ready to accept a bid from the Saudi Pro League club of around €23 million.

If the player concerned is to give his approval, then the move should go ahead. The clubs are ready to proceed quickly to wrap up the deal.

However, the green light from the player concerned is still missing.

The 30-year-old has long had Al-Nassr’s big money offer in front of him. However, he is still expecting more.

Marcelo Brozovic Tells Al-Nassr He Wants €30M

According to Di Marzio, Brozovic’s representatives held a round of talks with Al-Nassr today.

They made clear to the Saudi team that even the sizable €20 million already on the table won’t be enough. They have made a counteroffer of €30 million net per season.

In the meantime, Brozovic also has the interest of Barcelona to consider.

The La Liga champions have made signing a replacement for Sergio Busquets a priority for this summer transfer window.

Having seemingly missed out on Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimenti, the Blaugranas have been ready to turn to Brozovic.

Barcelona haven’t yet made a concrete offer to Inter or Brozovic. However, their coach Xavi has spoken with the player to make their interest clear and try to convince him.

Brozovic is reflecting on his future, and a lot of his decision could come down to how Al-Nassr react to his new wage demands.

If the Saudi Pro League team aren’t keen to raise their offer significantly, the Croat could favour a move to Barcelona.

This could also impact Inter’s pursuit of Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi. The Nerazzurri are reportedly ready to move for the 23-year-old once they complete a deal for Frattesi.

They will not, then, want to see too many holdups.
