Beppe Marotta wants to move absolutely immediately to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi once Inter Milan sell Marcelo Brozovic.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri CEO intends to waste no time in completing a deal to sign the Neroverdi star once the fee for Brozovic’s sale to Al-Nassr arrives.

Inter are pushing to sign Neroverdi and Italy star Davide Frattesi for next season.

A key part of Inter’s plan to sign Frattesi has always looked to be selling Marcelo Brozovic first.

The Croat’s departure would free up space in the Nerazzurri’s squad for the Neroverdi man. Moreover, the fee from a sale of Brozovic would give Inter the cash they need to make a deal for Frattesi.

Now Brozovic looks to be on the verge of a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Inter will reportedly pocket around €23 million from the deal. This will be enough to allow them to move for Frattesi.

Things may not be as simple as that, however.

Marotta To Go All-In For Frattesi Once Inter Sell Brozovic To Al-Nassr

Inter are aware that the competition for Frattesi’s signature is still formidable.

Juventus are also keen, whilst AC Milan are ready to join the race after selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United for huge money.

As such, if Marotta and Inter don’t hurry, they could miss out.

The Nerazzurri will know what this feels like from bitter experience. Last summer, they had looked on the verge of signing defender Bremer from Torino.

Then, after waiting too long to make the move actually happen, Juventus pipped them to the post and signed the Brazilian.

A similar situation had also occurred when Roma ended Inter’s longstanding pursuit of Paulo Dybala by signing the Argentine.

According to Tuttosport, Marotta does not want that to happen with Frattesi. He’s determined to follow a swift timeline in selling Brozovic and reinvesting the fee in Frattesi.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport report, Sassuolo want to raise the fee to Frattesi from €35 million to €40 million in recognition of the interest in the player’s signature from several clubs, particularly Juventus and Milan.

However, the newspaper continues, this may not happen.

The Bianconeri are also looking at other midfield targets and don’t want to break the bank for Frattesi.

Similarly, the Rossoneri will not want to spend too much on the 23-year-old even after having banked a big fee for Tonali.
