Inter Milan must sort out the futures of Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa following the confirmation of Marcus Thuram arriving.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who give a run-down of what the Nerazzurri’s next moves will have to be in attack.

Inter now know the identity of two of the strikers who’ll be at the club next season.

One is Marcus Thuram. The Frenchman has arrived on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Having signed a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri, Thuram will start his new adventure next season.

One striker he will almost certainly have the chance to play alongside is Lautaro Martinez. Barring any truly sensational surprises, the Argentine will stay at Inter this summer.

However, the identity of the other two attacking players is currently wrapped up in some mystery.

Inter Hoping To Sign Lukaku & Offload Correa After Wrapping Up Thuram Signing

One player who Inter do hope will be in the squad alongside Thuram and Martinez next season is Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri want to agree another loan deal with Chelsea.

So far, the Blues have flatly rejected any possibility of sending the Belgian out on another loan deal. However, the Nerazzurri are ready to offer a loan deal that contains a purchase obligation, and they hope that this convinces the Premier League giants to soften their stance.

Meanwhile, Inter want to offload former Lazio and Sevilla forward Joaquin Correa.

After two unconvincing seasons, the Nerazzurri have all but given up on the 28-year-old and will aim to sell and replace him.

Fenerbahce are interested in signing Correa, although the player is not keen on making that move.

Meanwhile, Premier League duo West Ham United and Everton reportedly consider the Argentine to be a target.

Should Inter manage to find a new club for Correa, they have a few names in mind to replace him. These include Leeds United star Willy Gnonto and Hertha Berlin’s Dodi Lukebakio.

It is all but certain that Inter will have four senior forwards in their squad come the start of next season. Equally certain is that Thuram and Martinez will be among them.

Less so is whether Lukaku will also be back at the club, or that Correa won’t. Inter have work to do on both fronts.
